Department Commander Michael “Gambler” Raymond has chosen to support two charities that are close to his heart: Florida Legion’s Disaster Relief Program and Children’s Organ Transplant Association (C.O.T.A.), during his 2023-2024 term. It is his hope to raise a combined total of $50,000 in support of these efforts.

Disaster Relief is a program of The American Legion, Department of Florida, ensuring that our Florida Veterans and Posts are taken care of in the event of a natural disaster. Florida is no stranger to natural disasters, with a history of devastating hurricanes. Through each tragedy, The American Legion, Department of Florida family, has been there to provide aid and assistance. Whether monetary, in supplies, or boots on the ground, Legionnaires throughout the state are there to support their fellow Veterans, families, and communities.
